Exploring Research: An Agenda for Vertebral Subluxation Research

October 01, 2014 by Nathan Cashion in Exploring Research

In a new video series, I will be presenting research papers I find interesting in a presentation format. I used to redesign lecture slides for faculty at my undergraduate school and created Brainslides.com as a way to share design and presentation tips with educators.

As a proof of concept, and an exercise in reading research and designing presentations, I will periodically produce videos of me presenting a research paper via a Keynote presentation.

First up is a paper by Drs. Matthew McCoy and Christopher Kent of The Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation Research. Their August 2013 paper called Vertebral Subluxation Research: An Agenda to Explore the Epidemiology of Vertebral Subluxation and the Clinical Outcomes Related to Management outlines 5 goals for the future of chiropractic research. I think they've done an excellent job outlining the key questions that remain to be answered and developing a promising roadmap to accomplish their goals.

In this new video series, I present research papers using custom designed slides as an exercise in reading and understanding articles and translating that into well-designed, effective visuals. Please leave your comments! First up is "Vertebral Subluxation Research: An Agenda to Explore the Epidemiology of Vertebral Subluxation and the Clinical Outcomes Related to Management", published in the Annals of Vertebral Subluxation Research in August, 2013.

Be sure to visit The Annals of Vertebral Subluxation Research to download the full paper.

Please share your comments about the video - my interpretation of the paper and slide design - below or on my YouTube channel.

Share it with your friends and classmates and follow me on Facebook and Twitter!
